Mary Lee (Howard) LeDune

Mary Lee (Howard) LeDune, 95, of Sullivan, IN passed away Monday, May 19, 2025 at Sullivan Co. Community Hospital. She was born May 21, 1929 the daughter of John Howard and Elizabeth (Hines) Howard. She graduated from Carlisle High School and married Cyrus LeDune on November 1, 1947. Mary Lee was a Life Long Member of the Indian Prairie Church of Carlisle, IN. The Howard family were the founders of the Indian Prairie Church, and she was the oldest present member. Mary Lee was preceded in death by her parents, spouse, Cyrus LeDune, brother, John (Bo) Howard, sisters, Margie Kinneman and Marth Boone. Survivors include three sons; John and Dianna LeDune of Dugger, IN, Dave and Beth LeDune of Carlisle, IN, and Eric and Pam LeDune of Dugger, IN, 12 grandchildren; Johnny, Jen, Dusty, Merry, Mandy, Ryan, Chad, Erin, Josh, Rikki, Jason, Shea LeDune, 18 great grandchildren; Danielle, Isaac, Hunter, Shooter, Marley, Grady, Taylor, Gracie, Carter, Davus, Jove, Grayson, Harris, Callen, Nora, Ellie, Carter and Colton, 2 great great grandchildren; Nova , and Charlie. Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Saturday, May 24, 2025 at the Indian Prairie Church in Carlisle, IN. with Pastor Tim Ferree and Randy Tucker officiating. Visitation will be at the Church Saturday from 11:00AM until 1:00PM. Burial in the Indian Prairie Cemetery in Carlisle, IN. Newkirk’s Funeral Home is in Charge of arrangements.
