Mary Magdaline “Maggie” Rogers McElwain Pogue, 98 of Linton, passed away at 6:15 PM Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Sullivan, IN.
She was born in Muhlenburg, Kentucky July 18, 1917 the daughter of Jay Thomas Whitaker and Comma Blake Whitaker.
She was preceded in death her parents, also her husband Pete Pogue in 1979, two sons Clayton Rogers, and Gary McElwain.
Maggie was a member of the Leighs Chapel Church in Kentucky and attended the First Baptist Church in Linton.
Survivors include one son; Donald Rogers (Sandy) of Dugger, IN, a daughter in-law Derita Rogers of Dugger, IN, one brother; Melvin Whitaker (June) of Chandler, IN, a sister; Pauline Kirkman of Newburg, IN, 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until services. Burial in the Dugger Cemetery.
