Max D Gaines

            Max D. Gaines, 82, of  Hutsonville, IL passed away Wednesday, December 23, 2020 at Breckenridge Health and Rehab in  Sullivan, IN.

            He was born in Dexter, MO. the son of Asa Gaines and Bessie Garner Gaines.

            Max was a Navy Veteran, a member of the Church of Christ, and a retired truck driver for Ryder Logistics.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Mayson, Vernon and Elmo Gaines and a sister Jean Reel.

            Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Paula (Gambill) Gaines who he married on September 25, 1960, two daughters, Janet Gaines of Indianapolis, IN Julie Ann McIntyre (Kevin) of Paragon, IN , sister, Norma Perry of Yorktown, IN, two grandsons, Samuel, and Paul McIntyre.

            Graveside services will be at 2:30 PM Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at the Dugger Cemetery.

            Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
