Michael W Starkey

Michael W. Starkey, 67 of Dugger, Indiana passed away November 12, 2023 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, Indiana.

            He was born January 7, 1956 in Sullivan, Indiana the son of Adolpha Starkey and Rosa Lee (Johnston) Starkey. He was a member of the labors union #204 and worked for multiple contractors before retiring.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gary Starkey, Larry Starkey, one sister, Leoma Southwood, and a nephew, Clint Southwood.

            Survivors include his wife of 46 years, Teresa (Pigg) Starkey ,whom he married November 20, 1976, his two daughters, Michele Sandusky (Mark) of Dugger, Indiana, Mica Felker (Richard) of Linton, Indiana, two brothers, Stanley Starkey (Sheila) of Sullivan, Indiana, J.T. Starkey (Jan) of Sullivan, Indiana and his beloved granddaughter, Abbie Rae Sandusky, Several Nieces and Nephews and extended family members.

            Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Indiana at 1:00 P.M. November 16, 2023 with Pastor Jason Jones officiating. Visitation is at Newkirk’s Funeral Home, Wednesday November 15, 2023 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery in Dugger, Indiana.
