Monte Alan Alumbaugh

Monte Alan Alumbaugh, 76 of Sullivan, Indiana passed away Friday, April 18, 2025 at his residence. Monte was born March 10, 1949 in Sullivan, Indiana, the son of Lester Alumbaugh and Zenophia (McCammon) Alumbaugh. He was a retired coal miner. Monte enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, mushroom hunting and spending time with his family. He was preceded by his parents, his wife, Sheila (Land) Alumbaugh, a brother, Jerry “Pod” Alumbaugh, and a sister, Jeannie Marilyn McGhee. Survivors include three sons, Greg Alumbaugh of Dugger, Indiana, Clint Allumbaugh of Dugger, Indiana, Jesse Alumbaugh of Sullivan, Indiana, three daughters, Cheryl Bonham of Linton, Indiana, Jody Squire of Cass, Indiana, Lillian Alumbaugh of Sullivan, Indiana, several grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, Indiana at 1:00, Tuesday April 22, 2025 with Steve Talpas officiating. Visitation will be 11:00 until the time of the service on Tuesday April 22, 2025. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to Newkirk’s Funeral Home to help cover the cost of the funeral.
