Nicholas Rodriquez, 71, of Dugger, IN passed away at 12:06 PM Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at his residence.
He was born in Puerto Rico, March 20, 1943, the son of Miguel Rodriquez Diaz, and Martina Sanabria.
Nick was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Miguel Rodriquez
He retired from Inland Steel in Gary, IN, was formerly employed as a security officer for the Sullivan Co. Park and Lake, a translator for Sullivan Co for 20 years, and a Special Deputy for the Sullivan Co. Sheriff’s Dept.
Survivors include his companion, Karen Jones of Dugger, IN, one son, James Rodriquez (Michelle) of Rockport, IN, two daughters, Priscilla Rodriquez of East Chicago, IN, Martha Nicole Rodriquez of McMinnville, TN, a sister, Maria Rodriquez of Decatur, IL, a brother Feliciano Sanabria of Puerto Rico, and seven grandchildren, Jonathon, Reuben, Elba, Kathlena, Angela, Patricia, and Rebeccah.
In accordance to Nick’s wishes there will be no funeral services. Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
