Nila Jeffers, 77, of Sullivan, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, at IU Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.
She was born on January 28, 1939, in Linton the daughter of Smith Reed and Marie Page Reed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, William O Reed, and one grandchild, Jeremy Salesman.
Survivors include her husband Kenneth Jeffers, one daughter, Rita Salesman of Terre Haute, one grandchild, Jason Salesman, and two great grandchildren, Kasaundra and Jasmine.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, August 26, 2016, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with Bro. J.B. Smith officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday.
In lieu of flowers the family requested that memorial contributions be made to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
