Rexford Leon Ballard

Rexford Leon Ballard, 83, of Dugger, IN passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020, at his residence, surrounded by his loved ones.

            He was born in Flint, MI, December 23, 1936, the son of Ernest Ballard and Aletha (King) Ballard.

            He was retired from Crane, and was a member of the Hymera Community Church.

            Rex was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mary (Smith) Ballard, a son Ronnie Ballard, his sister Theresa Bogard and five great grandchildren.

            Survivors include; Seven daughters: Jan Farley (Jim) of Greentown, IN, Jackie Moreno (Tino) of Dugger, IN, Rexanna Neely (Kevin) of Smithville, TN, Lisa Ballard and Staci Simon of Rowlett, TX, Debbie Scales (Eric) and Sue Stahl of Evansville, IN. Four sons: Willis Martindale (Katie), James Ballard and Alan Ballard of Dugger, IN, John Ballard (Jennifer) of Sullivan, IN. Two brothers: John Ballard (Karen) of Dugger, IN and Jim Ballard (Peggy) of Minnesota, daughter in-law, Melissa (Sparger) Ballard of Kokomo, IN and was Papaw Bubba to 28 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren

            Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM Thursday, December 3, 2020 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home. Burial in the Dugger Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00AM until services Thursday.
