Richard Brenton Obituary

Richard Dean “Dick” Brenton, 86  of Sullivan, IN passed away Monday, June 7, 2021 in Sullivan Co.Community Hospital in Sullivan, IN.

            Richard was born in Graysville, IN October 19, 1934 the son of Charles Brenton and Mamie (White) Benton.

            He was retired from Duke Energy and a member of the Baptist Church in Sullivan, IN.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Michael Brenton, two brothers, Wayne Brenton, Charles Brenton, and two sisters, Ruby Moyes, and Virginia Boone.

            Survivors include his wife of 67 years in which he married December 18, 1954, Patty Joan (Keaton) Brenton, a son, Laramie Brenton (Darla) of Carlisle, IN, a daughter, Crystal Brenton Houser (Bruce) of Morriston, FL. Two brothers, Ray Brenton (Judy) of Indianapolis, IN, Rex Brenton (Judy) of Dugger, IN, six grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.

            Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’ Funeral Home in Dugger, IN on Thursday June 10, 2021 at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Kenneth Moyes officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in the Johnson Cemetery in Graysville, IN.
