Ronnie Max Booker, 80, of Dugger, IN passed away Monday, July 28, 2025 at his
residence of more than 50 years. He was born in Sullivan, IN, the son of Clovis Booker and
Sparkle (Woodward) Booker.
Ronnie was a retired tool and die maker from G. E. in Linton, IN. He also served in the
Air National Guard at Hulman Field.
He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Merriel (Booker) Chambers,
Kenny Booker, Murle Booker and baby brother, Brent Booker.
Survivors include: his wife of 55 years, Marilyn (Hutchison) Booker whom he married
June 13, 1970 in Linton,IN; daughter, Kerri Maze (Jessie) of Linton; son, Lane Booker of
Bloomington and several nieces and nephews. Ronnie was a member of the Shiloh Church of
Christ in Sullivan. He graduated from Dugger Union High School in 1963. During his school
years he also attended classes in Pleasantville and Sullivan as well as Clermont, Florida.
Ronnie was an avid coon hunter. He had a love of the Indiana outdoors which began in
his childhood spent on the rural Sullivan county farm of his grandparents, Ode and Josie
Booker. His other hobby was collecting antique carnival glass and other antiques with his
family.
The family extends their thanks to Hospice of the Wabash Valley, family, friends and
neighbors Bo and Lea Beadle for all their help.
Graveside services will be Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Woodward
Cemetery with Jack Clark officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM Saturday at
Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN.
