Rose Mary (Banning) Clayton

Rose Mary Clayton, 89 of Sullivan, IN passed away Friday, August 14, 2015 at 5:26 AM. She was born June 4, 1926 in Tower Hill, IL to Benjamin and Catherine (Durbin) Banning.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William H. Clayton, one brother, Jack Banning, three sisters, Geraldine Haines, Karen Stanley, Joann Murphy.
Survivors include four daughters, Jennifer Smith (Bob) of Dugger, IN, Debra Smith (Rich) of Dugger, IN, Christine Whitton (Wally) of Casey, IL, and Mary Jackson (Bobby) of Corydon, IN, one brother, Ben Banning (Florence) of Pana, IL, three sisters, Ruth Kirkpatrick (Rollie) of Pana, IL, Margie Hines of Bellville, IL, and Teresa Purdeu of WI, Eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
A mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sullivan, IN at 1:30 PM, Monday August 17, 2015, with Father Ken Herr officiating. Friends may call from 12:00 PM until 1:30 PM. Interment will follow in the Dugger Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home
