Sheena C. (Wheeler) Pope

Sheena C. Pope, 76, of Dugger, IN passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Terre Haute Regional Hospital.

            She was born in Sullivan Co., IN March 22, 1944 the daughter of Leonard Ray Wheeler and Mary Frances (Frederick) Wheeler Moore.

            She was a member of the United Church of God in West Terre Haute, IN.

            Sheena was preceded in death by her parents, step father, Dean Moore, a son, Gary Pirtle, and brother, Lenny Wheeler.

            Survivors include a son, Scott Pope (Amanda) of Sullivan, IN, four grandchildren; Josh Pope, Tyler Pope, Michael Leavell and Gerald Dean Pirtle III, five great grandchildren, cousins, Darlene Martindale (Ralph), Donna Frederick, Joan Morwood, Georgia Marshall, and a sister in-law Margie Wheeler.

            Graveside services will be held Friday, May 29, 2020 at 2:00PM  at Bethany Cemetery in Sullivan Co., IN with Pastor Shawn Farris officiating.

            Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
