Timothy Wayne King, 73, passed away peacefully at his residence in Dugger, IN, on July 16, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born in Sullivan, IN September 29, 1952 to Kermit King and Charlotte (Ragsdale) King. Tim was a proud 1972 graduate of Union High School, was in the Indiana National Guard for 7 years. He dedicated many years of his life as a Coal Miner before retiring and later enjoyed a second career as a carpenter. A man of service and fellowship, was a member of the Dugger American Legion, Dugger Masonic Lodge, and both the Greene and Sullivan County Shrine Clubs. Tim found his greatest joy in the simple things - spending time with his family, relaxing at his camper at the Greene Co. Shrine Club, and gathering in his garage with friends, sharing stories and enjoying an ice-cold PBR. He will be remembered for his hardworking spirit, his loyalty to his family and friends, and the laughter he brought to those around him. Tim was preceded in death by his parents, Kermit and Charlotte King, his son, Jermy Clay King, sister, Cindy Moore, brother, Rick King and several beloved Aunts and Uncles. He leaves behind the love of his life and devoted wife of 50 years, Brenda King whom he married on October 5, 1975; his three daughters, Tiffany King (Dave), Rusti Henderson (Norman) and Kyla Cox ( Bobby), brother Kermit King (Jane) ; his siter-in-laws, Linda Smith and Dori King, cousin Denny King, five grandsons; Hunter Henderson (Erica), Brayden Talley, Kane Henderson, Landon Porter (Elliot), and Harlan Cox, three great granddaughters; Brooklyn Norris, Ava Henderson, and Jordyn Porter, also several nieces, nephews and extended family members and many dear friends who will forever cherish his memory. In accordance with Tim’s wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for children, honoring Tim’s lifelong dedication to the Shrine and it’s mission of caring for children.
