Bennie Willis Wagers passed away peacefully on June 17, 2015.
Born March 30, 1941 to Charley Bailey and Nettie Woods. His wife, Helen, of 44 years, preceded him in death. Bennie loved his morning coffee, the great outdoors, fishing, and his dog “Sassy”. He was a man of many trades and talents. He was known as “the Good-Ole Boy that could fix anything”. He worked as Head of Maintenance at Stone Key Apartments in Indianapolis for 25years and then retired from Sears.
Bennie is survived by his son Bennie Christopher Wagers (Santa Rosa, CA), step-Son William Alexander (Karen) Farrington of Indianapolis, step-Daughter Faith (Wayne) Washington of Spokane, WA, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren . He was loved by all and will be missed by many.
Special “Thank You” to Don & Barb Knight, Sonny & Ruth Wilson who were caring neighbors. To Johnnie & Toni Winstead, and especially the staff of Linton Nursing & Rehab and Via Quest Hospice for their wonderful care and support.
In lieu of flowers the family ask that the memorial donations be given to the local Humane Society in Bennie’s name.
