Betty J. Prewitt, 83, of Shelburn, Indiana, passed away on Friday, May 8, 2015, at Breckinridge Nursing Home in Sullivan, Indiana.
She was born on March 14, 1932, in Jellico, Tennessee the daughter of Elbert Huddelston and Elizabeth Lay Huddelston. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary Post # 298.
She was preceded in death by her husband King R. Prewitt on February 19, 2005, her parents, and one sister Billie Cooley.
Survivors include two sons, James M. Prewitt (Nancy) of Shelburn, Danny R. Prewitt (Andrea) of Millbury, Ohio, two brothers Jim Huddelston (Jean) of Virginia, Jackie Huddelston (Betty) of Oregon, one sister Carolyn Peters (Orie) of California, five grandchildren, Michael Prewitt, Michelle Prewitt, Danny Prewitt, Andrew Prewitt, Angie Prewitt, and several great-grandchildren.
A cremation is scheduled.
Arrangements were entrusted to Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
