Clifford H. Suttles, 85, of Linton, passed away at 5:37PM, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at his residence.
He was born in Vincennes, IN, July 28, 1929 the son of Jess Suttles and Sue Medley Suttles.
Clifford was an Army Veteran in the Koren War, a member of the Linton American Legion Post #22, the First Christian Church in Linton, and retired from Westinghouse after 25 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, also two brothers; Doyle and Jess Suttles and a sister; Marsha Schmidt.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Doris Mitchell Suttles, whom he married on June 14, 1952, one son; Dennis Suttles (Sheri) of Bloomington, IN, one daughter; Julie Killion (Rick) of Sullivan, IN, six grandchildren, Jason Suttles, Dustin Mizell, Kristen McKay, Rocky Mason, Hollie Neff, and Amanda Killion, ten great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 1:00PM Saturday, January 24, 2015 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger with Jason Suttles officiating. Visitation is from 11:00 AM until services Saturday. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Linton with military graveside rites by the Linton American Legion.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
