Darrell Duane Simmerman, 48 of Jasonville, IN. passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 12:15 PM at Sullivan County Community Hospital.
Darrell was born on May 29, 1968 in Greene County, Indiana, the son of Larry Simmerman and Louise Burns Simmerman. He worked in the cafeteria at Dugger Union School. Darrell was an avid fisherman.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Simmerman and one brother-in-law, Joey Goodwin.
Survivors include his wife Valerie Goodwin, his father, Larry Simmerman (Jeanette) of Bedford, IN. and his mother, Louise Burns Simmerman of Newberry, IN., one son, Chris Simmerman (Taylor) of Jasonville, IN, one daughter, Samantha Simmerman of Jasonville, IN, and one grandchild, Andrew Thomas Simmerman.
Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN on May 26, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Matt Larimer officiating. Visitation is 11:00AM until 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in The Claiborne Cemetery in Cass IN. There will be military graveside rites by the Dugger, Sullivan, Shelburn, and Hymera Legion Posts and the Sullivan V.F.W. Post.
