Dova Lockhart Jr.

Dova Lockhart JR., 73, of Linton, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana.
He was born on December 12, 1940, in Sullivan County, Indiana, the son of Dova Austin Lockhart and Rosie Lee Benton Lockhart.  Dova was retired from General Electric.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, Roy Lockhart, a brother, Leonard Lockhart, and two sisters, Blanche Matthews and June Harbin.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Secrest Lockhart, one son, Dova Ray Lockhart (Channon) of Linton, four daughters, Linda Eslinger (Jay) of Dugger, Kimberly Barnes (Tim) of Worthington, Tanya Brewer (Eric) of Linton, and Jana Waggoner (Chris Carr) of Linton, two sisters, Barbara Killian of Linton, and Norma Hughes of Linton, twelve grandchildren, Kevin, Justin (Arica) Eslinger, Megan Smithheart, Courtney Barnes, Zachary Waggoner, Jace Brewer, Madison Waggoner, and Seth, Alec, Dylan, and Amelya Lockhart, and Makayley Shonk, two great-grandchildren, Abigail Eslinger, and Juliana Smith, and three on the way.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 18, 2014, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger with Pastor Donnie Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery located in Lyons, Indiana. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until service time on Saturday.
