Kenneth D. “Coolie” Pirtle, 70, of Dugger, Indiana, passed away at 10:48 AM on Tuesday, August 19, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born on March 27, 1944, in Indianapolis the son of Lloyd Pirtle and Anna Louise Bailey Pirtle. Kenneth was a member of Faith Community Church in Dugger, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his fiancé Nancy Hardesty of Linton, IN, two daughters, Lisa Day of Sullivan, IN, and Tammy Pirtle of Sullivan, IN, one brother, Billy Pirtle (Suzie) of Dugger, IN , two sisters, Betty Horne (Steve) of Dugger, IN and Vicki Talpas of Dugger, IN, eight grandchildren, Justin Day, Jordan Dudley, Trenton Dudley, Dylan Day, Chelsey Day, Katelyn Day, Tami Holley, and Tommy Walters and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, August 23, 2014 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger with Bro. Nick Moore and Pastor Shawn Farris officiating. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00PM until 8:00PM on Friday, August 22, 2014 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN.
