Marshall P Butler

Marshall P Butler, 78, of Linton, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2016, at his home in Linton.
He was born on January 20, 1938, in Albany, Kentucky, the son of Elmer Butler and Bercia Byrd Butler. He was a member of Linton Christian Church.  Marshall retired from Pepsi in Bloomington where he worked as a service technician.
He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant sister, Sandra, a brother, Morris Butler, and a nephew, Anthony Butler.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Carol Mitchell Butler, two sons, Brad Butler (Janie) of Clayton, IN, and Brian Butler (Billie Jo) of Dugger, two brothers, David Butler (Donna) of Albany KY, and Donnie Butler of Albany, KY, four sisters, Doris Leach (Roy) of Newcastle, Denise Beaty (Kirby) of Nicholasville, KY, Janice Davis of Albany, KY, and Patty Clark (Chris) of Jamestown, TN, two aunts, Bonza Witt and Brenda Denny of Albany, KY, six grandchildren, Austin, Zac, Jordan, Tanner, Hunter, and Daisy, and three great-grandchildren, Lily, Dahlia, and Violet..
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Saturday, October 15, 2016, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with Pastor Archie Ellett officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery located in Linton, Indiana. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Saturday at Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
