Ricky Lee King, 61, of Dugger, IN passed away at his residence Friday, January 15, 2016.
He was born in Sullivan Co., Indiana August 24, 1954 the son of Kermit King and Charlotte Ragsdale King.
Rick was a member of the Dugger Masonic Lodge #721, and the Dugger Church of Christ. He retired from the Terre Haute Labor Union, he worked at Bookers Market for years, the Town of Dugger Water Dept, and the Uptown Tavern. Rick was also on the Dugger Volunteer Fire Dept.
He was preceded in death by his parents, also a brother in-law Fred Moore.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years, whom he married on June 19, 1982, Dorie Higer King, one son; Eric King (Jessi) of Linton, IN, one daughter; Erin King (Jason Talley) of Dugger, IN, two brothers; Kermit Mike King of Dugger, IN, Tim King (Brenda) of Dugger, IN, one sister; Cynthia Moore of Dugger, IN four grandchildren Jaryn, Josh, Khloe, and Kora, a cousin Randy Putoff (Debbie) of Dugger, IN and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00PM, Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM until services Wednesday.
The family has chosen cremation.
