Robert G Arnold

                        Robert G. Arnold Jr., 85, of Dugger, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, at his home in Dugger, Indiana.

            He was born on February 8, 1931, in Dugger the son of Robert Arnold Sr. and Violet Shake Arnold. He was a lifetime member of the United Mine Workers Association Local #1423 District 12, and was a Dugger Little League and Babe Ruth Manager for several years. 

            He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Alan Arnold, and one sister Barbara Lehman.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years who he married on June 17, 1950, Phyllis McCammon Arnold, one son, Bob Arnold (Janet) of Mt.Carmel, Illinois, one daughter Beth Arnold (Dewey Walters) of Shelburn, two grandchildren, Ashlee and Tanner Arnold.

            Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Friday, January 6, 2017, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home with Bro. J.B. Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery located in Dugger, Indiana. A visitation will be held from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2017, at Newkirk’s Funeral Home.
