Villa Padgett, 98 of Linton, IN, formally of Dugger, IN passed Sunday June 8, 2014 at Miller’s Merry Manor.
Villa was born on October 29, 1915 in Sullivan County, IN, the daughter of Silas Howard and Easter Sinkey Howard. She retired assembly operator at Latex. She was also a member of the Eastern Stars.
Villa was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Hubert Donnie Padgett in 1987, three brothers, Hosie Howard, Herbert Howard, and William Howard, and one sister, Mary Robbins.
Survivors include two sons, Michael D. Padgett (Sheree) of Linton, IN and Lonnie Padgett (Linda) of Fort Wayne, IN, one daughter, Dixie Goodman of Brooklyn, MI, five grandchildren, Melissa, Duane, Greg, Steele, and Nikki, six great grandchildren, Chris, Tyler, Brittany, Kaylee, Journey, Sierra, and Noble and three great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Newkirk’s Funeral Home in Dugger, IN at 1:00 PM with the Pastor Steve Talpas officiating. Friends may call from 11:00 AM until services Wednesday. Interment will follow in the Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
